The last few decades have seen a flurry of activity in the synthesis and development of 8-hydroxy-quinoline (8HQ) derivative. Various strategies can be envisaged to synthesize or modify 8HQ structures by exploiting the reactivity of this heterocycle with their derivatives by various researchers. 8-hydroxyquinoline and its derivatives were also reported to have promising bioactivities, including anticancer, antibacterial, antidyslipidemic and antioxidative properties, vasorelaxing properties, antivirus and antiplatelet activities. The aim of this book is to provide a brief knowledge about organic compounds derived from 8-hydroxyquinoline and 2,2’-(phenyl azanediyl) diethanol derivatives. We have included the synthesis of novel organic compounds and their characterization by various spectroscopic techniques.

Solar energy, radiant light and heat from the sun, has been reined by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies. Solar radiant energy accounts for most of the usable renewable energy on earth. Photovoltaic (PV) is a method of generating electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity using semiconductors that exhibit the photovoltaic effect.The tracking process of maximum power point is called maximum power point tracking (MPPT). The concept of Maximum Power Point Tracking is to be implemented which results in appreciable increase in the efficiency of the Photovoltaic System. Different schemes of MPPT algorithms such as Perturb and Observe.To overcome the difficulties of commonly used MPPT methods a unique controller called fuzzy logic controller is implemented.In this paper a novel back propagation neural network based MPP controller is proposed and it is shown that it can track the MPP more accurately than fuzzy logic based controller.Due to the conventional inherent nature of neural network based controller, it shows no oscillation around the MPP and hence no power loss owing to this fact.

We study the limiting distributions of the solution of fractional diffusion-wave systems with subordinated Gaussian random initial data. In our work, we use homogeneous random field to model the initial data and apply the spectral representation method and multiple Wiener integrals to studying the covariance matrix functions of the random solution. The limiting distributions of the solution are obtained from different viewpoints including macroscopic scales and microscopic scales. When the initial data is weakly dependent, our results can be thought of as a generalized central limit theorem. There are two key points for this new result. The first one is that the initial data is modeled by two cross-correlated random fields, which is analyzed by the method of Feynman diagrams. Second, the limit of the solution under the macroscopic/microscopic coordinate systems is represented by a series of mutually independent Gaussian random fields. When the initial data is long-range dependent. We found a competition relationship between the effects coming from the components of the random initial data, i.e., the limiting distribution of the solution is determined by one of the components.
